At this year\u2019s Watches and Wonders 2025<\/b><\/a>, held in Geneva, we had the privilege of exploring a diverse and exciting array of timepieces from some of the most distinguished names in watchmaking. Our journey through the exhibition brought us face-to-face with brands steeped in tradition, innovation, and exceptional craftsmanship.<\/p>

At many of the watchmakers’ booths, employees from all departments were present, and you could request a guided tour. The booths were thoughtfully designed to take you through the brand\u2019s history over time, while simultaneously showcasing their different models. As we expected, we felt the genuine passion that many people put into their companies and the creation of their watches. Raymond Weil<\/b><\/a> has a booth that balances approachable luxury with refined watchmaking. The Geneva-based brand, known for its elegant and accessible timepieces, continues to evolve while remaining rooted in its family-owned heritage and musical inspiration.<\/p>

One of the highlights of our visit was discovering the Freelancer Calendrier Complet<\/b><\/a>, a sophisticated evolution within the popular Freelancer line. This model features a complete calendar<\/b> complication\u2014day, date, and month\u2014paired with a moonphase display, all neatly arranged on a sleek, well-proportioned dial. It\u2019s a testament to Raymond Weil\u2019s ability to integrate classic complications into contemporary designs without overwhelming the wrist or the wearer.<\/p>

The design language remains consistent with the Freelancer identity: a balance between sporty and dressy, with modern lines, clean finishes, and an overall sense of effortless style. The Calendrier Complet, in particular, adds a touch of horological depth while maintaining daily wearability\u2014a signature strength of the brand.<\/p>

Raymond Weil\u2019s booth reflected the same philosophy: inviting, understated, and rich in character. At Genus Watches<\/b>,<\/a> we were captivated by their avant-garde approach to horology, where time is not merely displayed but artistically performed. During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting Catherine Henry<\/b>, who welcomed us warmly and shared the spirit behind the brand\u2019s vision\u2014one that seeks to completely reimagine how time can be experienced.<\/p>

We had the extraordinary opportunity to try on the GNS1.2 Gems Rivi\u00e8re<\/b><\/a>, a timepiece that epitomizes the fusion of haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie. Instead of traditional hands, this exceptional watch features a procession of diamonds and sapphires that glide across an infinity-shaped path to indicate the minutes. The lead gemstone marks the current time, while the trailing gems create a radiant ribbon in motion\u2014turning the passing of time into a visual and poetic experience.<\/p>

Each gem is meticulously hand-set, and the case\u2014available in materials such as 18K white or rose gold, Grade 5 titanium, or Damascene Titanium\u2014enhances the brilliance and refinement of the design.<\/p>

Genus made an immediate impact on the horological world with its debut model, the GNS1.2<\/b>, which won the prestigious Mechanical Exception Prize<\/b> at the 2019 Grand Prix d\u2019Horlogerie de Gen\u00e8ve (GPHG)<\/b>\u2014a testament to their visionary approach and technical mastery.<\/p>

The booth offered an intimate and meaningful experience\u2014allowing us to engage closely with a brand that\u2019s redefining contemporary watchmaking from the inside out.<\/p>

Since 1995, the Geneva-based Maison Roger Dubuis<\/a><\/strong> has pursued the vision of its two co-founders: to create timepieces found nowhere else. After thirty years of a unique journey at the heart of haute horlogerie, dedicated to imagining bold new ways to celebrate the most iconic complications, the brand unveiled two new creations at Watches and Wonders that echo this original dream.<\/p>

The first, the Excalibur Grande Complication<\/strong><\/a>, pays tribute to the Maison\u2019s 30th anniversary. Stamped with the excellence of the Poin\u00e7on de Gen\u00e8ve certification, this exceptional timepiece combines three prestigious complications \u2014 perpetual calendar, minute repeater, and tourbillon \u2014 with the brand\u2019s signature bi-retrograde display. It symbolizes both the exceptional mechanical expertise of Roger Dubuis and its distinctive expressive flair.<\/p>

The second, the Excalibur Biretrograde Calendar<\/strong><\/a>, highlights one of Roger Dubuis\u2019 signature complications: the bi-retrograde display. It features two retrograde hands for the day and date, arranged in arched formations \u2014 a design reminiscent of the brand\u2019s earliest creations.<\/p>

The story of the maison begins with Roger Dubuis<\/b>, a watchmaker who spent decades mastering complications at prestigious manufactures like Patek Philippe before founding his own brand in 1995. With a vision to unite traditional Swiss watchmaking with a completely modern aesthetic, he created timepieces that were not only mechanically exceptional but also visually radical. From the start, his watches were certified by the Poin\u00e7on de Gen\u00e8ve<\/b>, a hallmark of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. His legacy continues to shape the brand\u2019s identity: bold, uncompromising, and constantly evolving.<\/p>

The booth itself reflected that same energy\u2014immersive, futuristic, and audacious. Roger Dubuis today remains true to the founder\u2019s spirit, constantly exploring new materials, architectures, and forms of expression in watchmaking.<\/p>

Making its debut appearance at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025<\/b>, the Swiss maison made a lasting impression\u2014seamlessly blending historical depth with contemporary vision.<\/p>

During our visit, we had the pleasure of trying on the new Contodat Chronographe<\/b>, a standout piece from the freshly unveiled Contodat Collection<\/b>.<\/a> This line is a modern reinterpretation of one of Eberhard\u2019s iconic 1970s models, now reimagined with integrated bracelets and sleek, retro-inspired dials. The chronograph version we tried on combined vintage charm with updated technical refinement\u2014striking the perfect balance between heritage and innovation.<\/p>

We learned that Eberhard & Co.\u2019s watches are proudly produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds<\/b>, the historic heart of Swiss watchmaking. This location is renowned for its deep horological roots and world-class craftsmanship. Meanwhile, the marketing and creative direction are based in Milan<\/b>, infusing the brand with a unique Italian flair that blends seamlessly with its Swiss precision\u2014a fusion that gives Eberhard & Co. its distinct identity.<\/p>

Engaging with the team, we could feel their deep enthusiasm for the relaunch of Contodat and their broader vision for the brand. When visiting Jaeger-LeCoultre<\/b><\/a>, we had the pleasure of an insightful tour through the fascinating world of La Grande Maison<\/i>. Our guide, Beata Bohdanowicz, shared her deep knowledge and passion, bringing the story of this iconic brand to life\u2014beginning with one of its most legendary creations: the Reverso<\/b>.<\/p>

Beata recounted the origin story of the Reverso, born in 1931 when British army officers in India needed a wristwatch that could withstand the rigors of polo matches. Jaeger-LeCoultre responded with a clever solution: a reversible case that protected the watch face during play. What started as a practical invention soon became an Art Deco icon\u2014blending elegance, functionality, and innovation.<\/p>

One of the highlights of our visit was the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater,<\/b><\/a> masterpiece that brings together the maison\u2019s rich heritage of chiming watches and its iconic reversible case. Experiencing this ultra-complicated, beautifully finished timepiece firsthand was a true privilege.<\/p>

We also learned about the brand\u2019s origins: Antoine LeCoultre founded his workshop in Le Sentier in 1833, and his eventual collaboration with Edmond Jaeger led to the official creation of Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1937. Today, the maison is one of the few to master over 180 m\u00e9tiers<\/b> in-house\u2014from watchmakers and engravers to enamellers and guillocheurs.<\/p>

With its 44mm stainless steel case, sandwich dial, and signature crown-protecting bridge, it offered everything one expects from the Luminor line\u2014clarity, toughness, and distinctive style. The Luminor Due<\/b>, meanwhile, delivers a more streamlined and contemporary look while maintaining the brand\u2019s unmistakable DNA.<\/p>

Panerai\u2019s booth was one of the most immersive at Watches and Wonders 2025. It featured an underwater diver installation<\/b>, paying tribute to the brand\u2019s origin as a supplier of precision instruments to the Italian Navy\u2019s special forces<\/b>. We were fortunate to be guided by Virgile Ivanoff<\/b>, who gave us an incredible tour<\/b> through Piaget\u2019s storied legacy and newest creations. His passion was infectious\u2014he spoke about the brand with such depth and enthusiasm that it brought each watch, each story, vividly to life. Virgile’s knowledge of the maison\u2019s history, technical achievements, and artistic collaborations was remarkable, making our visit truly immersive and insightful.<\/p>

Among the highlights of the presentation was the Piaget Sixtie<\/b>, a tribute to the golden era of the 1960s when the brand pioneered colorful hardstone dials, ultra-thin cases, and a playful yet sophisticated design language. The Sixtie collection reflects Piaget\u2019s legacy of daring creativity and timeless style.<\/p>

It\u2019s no surprise that Andy Warhol<\/b>, the legendary pop artist, was an avid Piaget collector. He famously wore his Piaget watches not just to tell time, but as objects of art\u2014pieces he admired for their beauty and craftsmanship. His affinity for the brand speaks volumes about Piaget\u2019s cultural influence.<\/p>
